Unlike classic tours, this half-day speedboat tour allows you to arrive early, avoiding the crowds of domestic tourists and holiday-makers. Additionally, you'll get a glimpse of daily life along the banks of the Saigon River, transitioning from city sprawl to the lush jungles of the Mekong Delta. Join us for this unique excursion and make it a highlight of your Vietnam travel.
The Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels by Speedboat (SIC) is a high-octane, time-efficient journey to Vietnam’s most famous historical landmark. Trading the congested city highways for the expressive currents of the Saigon River, this "Seat-In-Coach" (SIC) experience uses luxury speedboats to transport you into the heart of the "Iron Triangle" in just a fraction of the time required by road.
This tour is designed for travelers who value both history and the thrill of the journey. As you zoom past traditional stilt houses and lush riverside greenery, you’ll transition from the modern skyline of Ho Chi Minh City to the evocative, silent forests of the Cu Chi district. It is a seamless blend of scenic river cruising and a deep-dive into the legendary resilience of the Vietnamese people.
High-Speed River Transit
Avoid the 2-hour overland traffic slog. The speedboat journey takes approximately 75 to 90 minutes, offering a refreshing breeze and unobstructed views of local life along the riverbanks. Witness fishermen casting nets and rural villages as they have existed for decades, all while enjoying the comfort of a premium vessel.
Cu Chi Tunnels: The Underground City
Explore the immense 250km network of tunnels that served as a strategic base during the war. More than just passage ways, these tunnels housed hospitals, kitchens, and command centers. You will have the opportunity to:
Wartime Relics & Weaponry
Walk through the forest to see decommissioned tanks, craters left by B-52 bombers, and a variety of military hardware. For those interested, the tour concludes at a National Defense sports shooting range where you can observe (or participate in) the firing of authentic wartime weapons like the AK-47.
Rural Culinary Traditions
Experience a taste of wartime survival by sampling steamed tapioca with salted sesame, the staple food of the soldiers. The tour also includes a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a scenic riverside restaurant, featuring fresh local ingredients and regional flavors.

What Makes This Tour Unique
The "Beat the Crowd" Strategy
By taking the river route, you arrive at the tunnels ahead of the large tour buses. This allows for a much more intimate, quiet exploration of the site before the midday rush.
Luxury at an Accessible Price
As a Seat-In-Coach (SIC) tour, you enjoy the perks of a luxury speedboat—light snacks, cold drinks, and premium seating—while sharing the cost with a small group of fellow travelers.
360-Degree Perspective
You don't just see the tunnels; you see the geography that made them possible. Navigating the Saigon River provides the necessary context to understand how the "Iron Triangle" utilized its natural waterways for logistics and survival.

Will I get seasick on the speedboat? The Saigon River is generally very calm. Our speedboats are stable, but if you are highly sensitive to motion, we recommend sitting in the middle or back of the boat.
Is it safe to go into the tunnels? Yes. The tunnels for tourists have been reinforced and widened. They also feature emergency exits every few meters. If you are claustrophobic, you can choose to stay on the surface with your guide.
Can children join this tour? Absolutely. Children usually find the speedboat ride and the "hidden" aspects of the tunnels very exciting. We provide life jackets for all sizes.
